VALENCIA COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTICE

The Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the Valencia County Administration Building in the Commission Chambers at 444 Luna Ave, Los Lunas, NM to consider the following requests to amend the Valencia County Zone Map.

A final decision on these requests will be made by the Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the County Commission Chambers of the Valencia County Courthouse, located at 444 Luna Ave. Los Lunas, NM.

 (A) Request for Zone Change from Agricultural Preservation (AP) to Rural Residential 2 (RR-2); Application: ZC #2017186; Applicant: Virginia M. Chavez; Purpose: Request for consideration of zone change in order to subdivide property into two acre parcels; Location: Romero Road; Legal Description: T6N, R2E, Section 15, NMPM; MRGCD Map 88; Lands of Robert Lee Chavez; Tract: A1B1A1 (6.87 AC); Zoned Agricultural Preservation (AP); Filed in Plat Book M, Page 292 in the office of the Valencia County Clerk, Los Lunas, NM 87031.

(B) Request for Zone Change from Agricultural Preservation (AP) to Rural Residential 2 (RR-2); Application: ZC #2017188; Applicant: Joe and Marie Sanchez; Purpose: Request for consideration for zone change to allow for the 10 contiguous acres of RR-2 as part of ZC #2017186; Location: Romero Road; Legal Description: T6N, R2E, Section 15, NMPM; MRGCD Map 88, Lands of Robert Lee Chavez; Tract(s): A1B1A2 (2.00 AC), A1B2B (4.24 AC) and A2 (5.00 AC); Zoned Agricultural Preservation (AP); Filed in respective Plat Book(s) and Page(s) M-292, J-662, and K-948 in the office of the Valencia County Clerk, Los Lunas, NM 87031.

(C) Request for a Zone Change from Rural Residential 2 RR-2 to General Industrial (I-2); Application: ZC #201712; Applicant: City of Belen; Steven Tomita as Agent; Purpose:  Rezoning lands located in the Belen Industrial Park to I-2 Industrial District; Location: South of Belen, East of Hwy 116, Between Calle De Baca & General Baca Road; Legal Description: T4N, R1E, Section 1, NMPM; MRGCD Map 108; Tract: 107A2 (22.60 Acres) & Tract: 107B2 (2.33 Acres) & Tract 107C2 (2.38 Acres), 27.31 Acres Total; Zoned RR-2 (Rural Residential 2).

(D) Request for a Zone Change from Rural Residential 2 RR-2 to General Industrial (I-2); Application: ZC #2017133; Applicant: City of Belen; Steven Tomita as Agent; Location: South of Belen, East of Hwy 116, Between Calle De Baca & General Baca Road; Purpose: Rezoning lands located in the Belen Industrial Park to I-2 Industrial District; Legal Description: T4N, R1E, Section 1, NMPM; MRGCD Map 108; City of Belen Industrial Park E-4-1; Tract: B1, 19.13 Acres; 1994 Revision; Filed in Plat Book I, Plat N, Number 183 in the Office of the Valencia County Clerk, Los Lunas, NM 87031. 

(E) Request for a Zone Change from Rural Residential 2 RR-2 to General Industrial (I-2); Application: ZC #2017134; Applicant: City of Belen; Steven Tomita as Agent; Location: South of Belen, East of Hwy 116, Between Calle De Baca & General Baca Road; Purpose: Rezoning lands located in the Belen Industrial Park to I-2 Industrial District; Legal Description: T4N, R1E, Section 1, NMPM; MRGCD Map 108; Tract: 122B (4.56 AC), Tract: 123B (4.63 AC), Tract: 109B (4.69 AC), 13.88 Acres Total; Quitclaim Deed to Town of Belen Dated 10-23-73, Filed in the Office of the Valencia County Clerk, Los Lunas, NM 87031.

 (F) Request for a Zone Change from Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) to Community Commercial (C-2);  

 Application: ZC #2017170; Applicant: Roberto Gabaldon-Southwest Emporium; Purpose: The zone change  

 request is to allow the applicants to continue to operate a U-Haul trailer rental and other uses allowed  

 within a C-2 Zoning District; Location: 1422 Frontage Road, Belen, NM 87002; Legal DescriptionT5N; R2E; Section 6; Map 96; N.M.P.M.; Lands of Jerry Rogers; Tract: 1; 1.19 Acres; and Tract: 2; 1.19 Acres; Zoned Neighborhood Commercial (C-1); Filed in Plat Book K, Plat Number 446; in the Office of the Valencia County Clerk, Los Lunas, NM 87031.
