Ruben Chavez

Code Enforcement Director

Ruben Chavez has worked six years in the Community Development Department for a neighboring municipality. He remains an active leader with the New Mexico League of Zoning Officials where he has become Certified and pursues Continuing Education.

Being a native of Valencia County, Chavez adds an understanding of the growth in the area. Ruben serves the department well undertaking tasks of providing analysis on Zoning issues and Subdivision review.

Code Enforcement: is responsible for many functions that involve the following divisions:

Animal Control: is responsible for capture and disposition of stray or lost domestic animals.
