Ruben
Chavez has worked six years in the Community Development
Department for a neighboring municipality. He remains an
active leader with the New Mexico League of Zoning
Officials where he has become Certified and pursues
Continuing Education.
Being a
native of Valencia County, Chavez adds an understanding
of the growth in the area. Ruben serves the department
well undertaking tasks of providing analysis on Zoning
issues and Subdivision review. |

Code Enforcement: is responsible for many functions that involve the following
divisions:

Animal Control: is responsible for capture and disposition of stray or
lost domestic animals.

Building Inspector: is responsible for the enforcement of residential and
commercial building codes in the county.
