Tax Payments

Payment Options
Payments will no longer be accepted at Bank of the West. Taxes can be paid in person only at the Valencia County Treasurer’s Office located across the street from the Valencia County Courthouse. Payment can be made by cash, check, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card.

You can also mail your payment in the remittance envelope included with your bill. Please do not send cash in the mail. Make your check payable to Valencia County Treasurer and write your account number on your method of payment. A service fee will be charged for any return checks. All checks are processed through Fiserv. If you receive a returned check, please contact Fiserv at 800-666-5222.

Only VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit cards are accepted in person, on the phone, and online. A convenience fee of 2.5%, or $1 for anything under $40, is charged by a third party when processing your payment with a credit card. We also accept credit card payment via mail/fax/email with a completed Credit Card Authorization Form (PDF) and returned with the payment coupon, in the envelope provided with the tax bill, and mark the envelope to the attention of Bookkeeping.

Online Tax Payments
The payment processing center we use is PayGov. This option is not a search engine to look-up taxes. Enter your complete Alpha/Numeric Account number(s) (ex R012345; make sure it’s a capital R) and click search. Your tax amount(s) will calculate along with the service fee. If you wish to continue, click make payment. All fields will then need to be filled in.

You can pay by either check or credit card. A convenience fee is charged by a third party.

Change of Address
To make address changes for your property taxes, the new address needs to be filed with the County Assessor. Please verify with their office that they have updated their records. For a transfer of property ownership a new deed must be filed with the County Clerk before the name and address are changed in the Assessors records.
